Can I just ask what voltage the i5 2500K is supposed to be at?
I built my pc yesterday, installed Windows 7, installed CPU-Z and it's saying 0.9 something volts? And that's idling so idk if I've done anything wrong during the build? That said the cpu temps are rarely north of 45 even under load (thank you Corsair H80).

No, that's normal if you have everything set to auto in BIOS. If you load the CPU you'll see the clock speed go up, and along with that so will the voltage. It runs at 1600MHz (IIRC) when idle and lowers the voltage accordingly. If you want to OC you will probably have to manually set VCore, because auto will push too much under load.

0.9-0.95 seems to be the normal idle voltage when running at 1.6GHz :)

My board defaulted to 1.15 vcore at stock speeds, and seems to add another 0.1 for turbo - a level which has carried it right up to 4.5 GHz stable :D

Admittedly mine does get warmer than yours, but then I have an aged Zalman 9700 cooler.

I suppose it must be the downthrottling. It jumped upto around 1.16 volts when I ran Intel Burn Test. Interestingly, the max temp during that was 50 degrees and on only one core when I'd made it run 20 times.
