what is the highest voltage i can safely put through my Q6600

(on striker 2 Formula)

I cant seem to boot on 375FSB on 1.37V

help
thanks in advance

give it as much as it needs. go as high, with the volts, as the temps will allow ;)

Q6600 (and 65nm chips in general) are pretty durable.

I wouldn't go higher than 1.5V under air.

So you would put 1.5V under water or phase? The only difference between air and anything else is the temps, so you need to judge it by that, not by the volts.

I don't really understand your point. Greater volts = Great temps. Simple as that. The only reason why the nutters at XS can run 1.7V+ through the Q6600 is with superior cooling.

on normal cooling you are going to max out on temp (75c Prime95 Load) before you max out at vcore on a Q6600... Most people do not run any more than 1.55v 24/7 although I have seen people running 1.6v 24/7... In my book there isnt a huge amount of reason to run over 3.2ghz anyways you are not going to see a massive improvment for day-to-day tasks unless you are doing something that is loading your quad i.e. video editing, folding @ home etc...

Other than that the only thing you need to really careful of is board voltages although if your not running over 3.8ish then I shouldnt think you even need to consider those
