Voltage not adding up

Hey all,

Specs: i5 2500k @ 3.3ghz stock
Asrock z68 extreme 7 gen 3

My CPU at stock settings runs at a maximum of 1.200V under intelburn at full load so I figure I have at least another 0.150 to easily keep it under safe volts/temperatures.

The issue I am having though, is even with the smallest increment to my Offset Voltage of +0.005, along with the turbo voltage (which I cannot disable) to the minimum of +0.004, ( = 0.009 fyi) my cpu immediately jumps to 1.336v

LLC is set to 5 (0%) - if I run it at anything else, the voltage spikes up to 1.4's.

It runs fine at 4.4ghz but feel I could lower the voltage some - but can't...

Have tried resetting BIOS settings numerous times and reflashed it to latest version of 2.30.

I have previously OC'ed this and cannot remember having such issues.
Is my maths seriously defective or is this not adding up the way it should.

Just tried your idea and changed it to the smallest negative offset of the same amount, -0.005 and it seems to have brought it down from a max of 1.336 to 1.328.

But from all the Overclocking guides I have read, never have I seen someone needing to LOWER the vcore, why is my board so special ...

Perhaps I should switch to fixed mode to actually get some control on this board.
