voltage offset and IBT questions

I'm trying to OC my 2500K and would like to tinker with a few manual settings.

I've currently got my chip set to 4.6ghz via the auto OC settings available on my Z68 Extreme 4 Gen 3. The volts seem to fluctuate between 1.336 and 1.344 in cpu-z when under load, with temps between 57-65° between the cores. This is being cooled by a Noctua D14.

Now my aim is to reduce volts to reduce temps and be a bit greener, as i hear the auto options are just aggressive defaults for all chips.
So my question is that if i wanted to tweak the volts manually should i just drop the volts to a safe and stable amount or should I experiement with the offset setting? Also what is this offset setting and how do i determine the value it should be?

Regarding IBT i've downloaded v2.52 but what settings do people suggest using? (i have 8gb ram).

Cool, I think I need to search for a guide as I tried the offset mode and set it to the load difference between coretemp and CPU-Z and the pc failed to boot.
Even tried reducing the amount but it was instable in window. Haven't touched the LLC and other settings as I think I need to understand them more.

At least the auto oc mode works 100% fine tho
