I have a 3770K on a Asus P8Z77-V PRO board. I have tried 4.6Ghz and it seems stable (p95) at that with around 1.25v (I have not yet tried going lower on voltage or higher on the clock, I will try lower voltages though). My temps were around 76c. I would like to aim for a stable 4.5Ghz though (I was just testing with 4.6).
What do I have to do to get voltage that steps up only when required? If you could briefly explain how it works too that would be fab.
