Voltage question

Hey 8 Pack

Im quite happy with my 4.6ghz turbo overclock as it is only using 1.28v under load and the temps are great. My question is, what should my voltage be when idle. My voltage is around 1.056 when idle. is this correct? If not, what can i do to make this decrease to something lower when Idle.
I read somewhere that this is quite high for an idle temp and should be around 0.96 or so.

any ideas?

Thanks for reply. I had thought this was ok. I just had suspicions that it was high at idle because of other material i have read. I use +0.015 offset and High LLC giving me 1.28v under load. My system seems to be much quieter since I made these adjustments.

On another note 8 Pack, I notice when I start a stability test or start a game that my cpu fans ramp up very fast then slow and settle. They didnt do this when I used the chill control software, The fans gradually increased in speed. Since I started using the Bios to control fan speed, they started this odd behaviour. Its like the fans go turbo then slow quickly and settle to a quiet speed. Im not sure if theres something i can do about this. I have ordered apache fans which will make it much quieter as the stock antec kuhler fans are 2600rpm and really loud. Your opinion appreciated 8 Pack

now that I have a nice temp and voltage at 4.6ghz, do you think I should raise my ram to 1600mhz again? or should I keep it at 1400mhz so that the imc has a little slack?
the ram is rated at 1600mhz 1.5v

I have left the timings at 9 9 9 24. ill adjust the frequency and see how it goes

Also, I have the CPU

Ram ratio set to auto. Is this correct or should it be set to 100:100

(Memory overclocking and settings are a little confusing to me)
