Hi Folks just a quick question on setting the voltage for my XMS2 RAM.

I believe my RAM needs 1.9V but the nearest options I have in my BIOS is 1.80v and 2.00v. What should I select and would using the 2.00v setting cause problems at all? I don't trust the 'Auto' setting and want to make sure I set it correctly. Many thanks for any advice you can give :)

only thing to do is try 1.8v and run memtest followed by a prime 95 blend test at stock cpu speed (no overclock) and see if you get any errors

is there not a voltage offset for the ram in bios

If it's the P5K in your signature, it should have a 1.9v option. Make sure you have the latest BIOS flashed. If it does not have a 1.9v option, 2.0v is OK and won't damage the RAM.

Many thanks for the reply guys. On my board the option to adjust RAM voltage is under '1.8v Dual Over Voltage' and this is where I can set the voltage manually. I have the latest BIOS release so im thinking I will set
it at 2.0v. Leaving it at 'Auto' has created stability problems as I think the board was not supplying enough voltage to the RAM.
