I have been playing about with an overclock of the CPU tonight and noticed that one of my voltages was reported as red on my nvidia nvmonitor in windows

I returned everything to stock and auto voltages in the bios and looked at nvmonitor again, see below

Its the HT(SPP-MCP) voltage... the motherboard left to auto sets it to 1.45v and ive never altered that but nvmonitor is reporting that as a high voltage... should I be worried and lower it? Or is this program just being strange lol it reports the RAM voltage as yellow but its meant to be 2v-2.2v so i have actaully got it low and it reports the CPU voltage inaccurately

Don't worry about it. Golden rule of overclocking.....if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If it was a problem, you'd be experiencing crashes, lock ups BSODs or worse.

Give it a dose of Prime 95 overnight and if its still running in the morning then job's a good un :)

Sounds pretty sound advice to me. You could try reducing it if it worries you, but I can't see a problem.

(and actually the Golden Rule of Overclocking is: if it ain't broke, tweak it until it is)

LMAO! :D

I agree - just trying to be gentle here as the op doesn't seem to be as happy clocking the nuts off everything as we are! ;)
