Is it possible to kill memory by running it 0.4v below its specification? (but still on its full clock speed)

Ta :~)

Thanks.

Is it common for memory to turn unstable after 3 days and then be completely dead after 7 days?

Did have another thread on it but that was on the premise that it was some sort of 4 sticks compatibility issue.

Basically if I put these 2 sticks into slots 1 and 3 the system won't turn on at all. Does this mean they're faulty? The other pair in the exact same slots work fine.

Just a bit concerned the company I bought them from is going to test them in their machine and say they're fine, costing me loads :/

PS: This is with the BIOS set to their spec'd voltage (2.1v).

Yup all same and same manufacturing week.

I would test them all seperately, but at the end of the day they are sold as a pair and should work together right?

Also won't testing them on their own be a redundant test because it will be single channel mode and therefore much looser/more compatible timings will be used? When in dual channel the memory controller goes a bit anal about compatibility. That was my understanding anyway? :o
