Hiya all,

this is a bit of a strange question ( well i think it anyways but here goes ) According to cpuz my cpu ( Q9550 ) sits at idle on 1.32 volts but when I run Intel burn test the voltage drops to 1.26. Why? I thought if anything with the cpu being stressed it would use more power!! The vid of my chip is 1.25 if you need this info.

It's part of Intel's design though I'm not sure why, there is usually a bios setting called "Loadline Calibration" to stop the voltage from dropping under load.
