Hi all,

Im having real problems getting my rig stable at 3.6. Ive done loads of things but im now guessing that im going to have to bump voltages to get it stable. Prime works for 30 secs then I lose core 3 then core 4!! Now the question I have is I have two voltages for my cpu and im not sure which to alter. I have cpu core and cpu fsb. The core is at 1.37 on auto and the fsb is 1.4 on auto. My rig is in my signature. Any help out there??

The question is too poorly formed for an answer to be possible.

What do you mean by "tried loads of things". What things.

What temperatures are you at. What clock speed were you last stable at. What happens when you take the voltages off auto and set them manually, only increasing when needed.

This is what im asking Jon!! At the moment my voltages are on Auto and are at the voltages as listed in my first post. What im after is, what is considered a safe voltage to pass through this cpu? Whats the difference beteween cpu fsb voltage and cpu core voltage. On Intels official site it says the cpu's recommended voltage is up to 1.5, but is this core or fsb?? I dont have a clue. I can run this chip at 3.3ghz stable just from bumping up the multiplier however I want 3.6 at 9 x 400 to work. I can get it to boot into windows but prime fails on 2 cores and I was wondering if i moved voltages up to say 1.425 if this would maybe help? Ive always stayed away from moving voltages cos I dont want to fry the chip or anything but this looks as though its the way to go now. I have tried different settings on the ram like 800 and 1066 as someone said this might be the way to go but so far no joy, so im guessing voltage.
