Voltivo ExcelFil™ is a high grade, high density 3D printing filament designed with options for both PLA and ABS printers, and has been tested over a wide variety for both quality and compatibility.

The ExcelFil™ is also designed to high tolerances, offering a diameter and roundness accuracy of better than 0.05mm to ensure a smooth and precise flow. This combined with a rapid cooling and high tensile strength make it an ideal partner for your 3D printer.

Product Description

Voltivo ExcelFil™ is a high grade, high density 3D printing filament available in both PLA and ABS perfectly suited for and tested with a wide range of 3D printers. It allows for easy extrusion due to its tight laser-controlled tolerances, smooth flow characteristics over a large temperature range, rapid cooling and a high tensile strenght. It comes in a large range of colors and in two diameters to fit most printers available. We ship ExcelFil on sturdy recycleable spools, vacuum sealed with a desiccant bag to ensure it arrives moisture free.

Diameter and Roundness accuracy better than 0.05 mm
Fully opaque color with a shiny finish, no shortcuts taken on adding non-toxic color pigments
Only grade A PLA/ABS raw materials from USA and German suppliers, no scrap or recycle material
Formulated for low printing temperature for less blobbing and stringing
Strong layer bonds and very rigid when cooled
Support website with tested print temperature guidelines and other support tools
3.2mm Hub diameter for lower friction
Arrives packaged in vacuum shrink wrap with a desiccant bag to ensure controlled humidity levels in transit
Unlike many other brands, we provide full support information on our filaments in our ExcelFil™ Support Site. We also provide practical filament clips and custom spool-holders and for other printers as downloadable STL files on our support site

Imaging in the future we can print our own fittings or go crazy modding with a multi-jet printer in no time. Acrylic or plexi backplates for our cases or GPU's would look great printed to size as normally its either hard to source and find talent to make it. Anyone who buys 3D printer has to posts photos :)

Sorry to spoil this post a little, there are some spelling mistakes including US spelling of colours, need I post the relevant one below in the mistakes thread?
- "rapid cooling and a high tensile strenght" ..... strength
- "We ship ExcelFil on sturdy recycleable spools" .... recyclable

Your welcome ;)

So are 3D printers really catching on? thought they were going to be a fad.

Oh no it's certainly not a fad, additive printing is the next step in modern and efficient manufacturing and very cost effect than tradition moulding for business or one offs. Their uses will be limitless and each product can be unique (tailored to any customers whim) with no added costs. In the future non-savy consumers can pay for the designs and download to print off immediately.

The aerospace industry has used them for years. The unique designs that's possible helps reduce weight of aircrafts which saves them millions each year in turnarounds and fuel. The cost is improving all the time, the cheapest 3D printer will be a lightweight albeit limited mobile use for £100 that started on kickstarter. Say you wanted to print off another handle for your fridge or freezer and they were EOL, you could print another one. Will take some practice to get used to it purely as a hobby to learn to adapt. Beyond making toys, a good technical brain with tons of imagination doesn't hurt at all - the sky really is the limit even though it's early stages :)
