volume control weird problem

Just updated my audigy drivers and when i open volume icon in task bar and change the volume up or down im getting a beep from my tower,has anyone got any ideas what it might be????,any response would be much appreciated...cheers.

I found a fix for it,i would never have never thought of this

In Windows 2k/XP there is a way to disable the beep, go into device manager, select
the "Show hidden devices" option, go to "non plug and play device" find that device
named "Beep" and set it to disabled.
