I'm interested in doing some sort of volunteer work abroad, financing it would be done partially through fundraising events, like sponsored runs and sponsored cycle rides, and partially through my part time job.
I'm not fussy where I volunteer, but I'd prefer to volunteer somewhere outside of Europe, either conservation or community work - I'd prefer community work either developing buildings etc rather than caring and supporting children though.
I'm not sure how much I could afford, but I need to take into account flight costs and paying for the volunteer project.
Anyone have any ideas, or experience in this?
