Volvo S60 vs S80

That might explain it, and condemn any desire i have for a D5 auto :(

Have made a concerted effort to increase my MPG in the last 2 days, I have travelled over 300 miles on varying town mw and a b roads and have improved to 45 mpg, it's fairly boring and dull and I means I have to completely change my style of driving but I was impressed with the increase.

Although I think I'm a little bit less stressed :)

02 S80 for 20 months now (£3500) and it has been a decent car with almost no issues, usual pads a ball joint a few hundred quids worth. Having driven the V70 and S60 as well the 80 feels noticably bigger and imo is more comfortable.

Mines the baby petrol 2.4 170bhp (not really big enough for such a large car) and having driven the D5 as well the D5 is the better engine but there is a significant price premium for the D5. turning circle should be mentioned as its absolutly terrible :)

Multi story car parks are a nightmare, any gold arches drive throughs are nearly a no go, I was following a colleague in a polo when we had to turn around and he just sat there laughing.

Do your tyres rub on full lock? mine do and apparently Volvo have agreed with MOT that this is not a failure

I had a V70 2.5T before the s60. If i drove like a grandad it did 28, if i drove in manner more like it was intended to be it did 26. the differance wasn't worth it, and i drove it quite fast. That was an auto too, and i liked it. I also have to pay for my fuel, so it is something I worry about.

Just dropping in to state that I doubt the difference between driving a 2.5T like a grandad as opposed to a madman, is as small as 2mpg.
