I am stumped here. Certain colours on my VP930 seem messed up. They appear properly, but there are thin vertical lines going down wherever the colours are supposed to appear.
Certain shades of grey for instance (think the grey on the box were you type posts), have purple lines going down them. Occasionally certain shades of blue (like the blue of these forums) have thin black lines going down them.
I had the exact same problem with my previous VP930, only it was more commonly a problem with black (where green lines streaked down). The lines are thin - say a single pixel wide - and there are zillions. Imagine scanlines, only vertical, if that makes sense.
I think I might phone Viewsonic and ask for another refurb but because I am now in university halls I don't know if they'll send me one, and frankly I don't want to have to keep phoning them every six months for a new monitor because the exact same problem crops up over time. I don't know enough about the technology behind TFTs to know why the problem comes up, which is where you guys come in
