With Hamachi now limiting networks to 5 people, is there an alternative anyone can recommend for creating VPN networks (easily) for playing games?

Ie: So groups of us can play LAN games?

Tried GBridge but just couldn't get it to work :(

Trying it, but we can't get it to work :(

We've both got gren smiley faces shown bottom right, and created a new Network which we're both on and can type messages to each other.

But can't even ping the virtual IP addresses of each other, yet alone play LAN games?

Tried merging the Tunngle network with local, that doesn't help either :(

This all works easily with Hamachi :(

Sounds like a firewall issue.

Are you both in the same channel?

OS firewall? Channel? I created a new Network and we were both on it, typing messages to each other?!

note: We both enabled uPnp within Tumble.

Channel/network.

OS firewall or third-party firewall/security software.

I created a new 'Network' which we both joined. We could type messages to each other!

Checked my Vista firewall and can see it in there as expected and as described by the Tunngle doc :(

Trust me the network info. I'll join and see if I can ping both of you.

I've tried out Comodo Unite, which is actually pretty good (Considering it is all 256bit AES encrypted connection)

You may as well try it out - I tested it with one of my friends (We tried Terraria, as I sometimes host it), initial connection took a little while but it was otherwise not too laggy. The pros for you is that connecting to them is VERY similar to a hamachi network, Network tab, create network / join network, it's pretty easy. The only real cons are that you need to make an account to use it, and anyone that you invite can see your email address.

Tried that last night and gave up - Every email address I tried with Comodo said it was already registered... and this was on MY DOMAIN!

Comodo worked first time, unlike everything else I tried, which frankly didn't work at all!

Many thanks!

Ah, so you eventually got past the account troubles?

No problem - I hope you play some good, VPN hosted games!

Yes, every attempt to registered with *anything*@mydomain.co.uk failed. But using my googlemail account worked! Very odd!

Managed to link up with GRAW1/2, Rainbow 6, but not Rome Total War - Need to look into that!
