I have a d-link router sitting in my living room which is connected directly to the main cable modem (oldish motorola). The apple TV 3 is connected via cable to the router.
I have a UK itunes account but live in Belgium but would still like to get netflix.
the plan was to buy a paid VPN just to like it directly to my apple TV and my ipad via the router so that all other internet traffic would go through the normal router but any ipad/apple tv data would be through the VPN.
I have assigned all my devices static ips but still cannot fathom the router settings out and info is hard to come by.
I would even consider a router upgrade as I'm not to happy with the d-link which constantly drops connections and has a weak signal.
I know it's not really an apple hardware question but wondered if anyone has done this before with apple TV and did it work? Perhaps someone done it in the UK to get the US version of netflix working on their apple TV?
