VPN Internet Access Issue

Hi all,

My Setup: Two computers ([A] and ). [A] running XP, running 2k server. [A] (VPN client) connects to (VPN Host). [A] has one NIC connecting to (NIC1). has another NIC (NIC2) connected to router which has shared cable BB.

My setup is for a university project hence why you may ask why is he doing this lol.

I want [A] to be able to get internet access through whilst having a VPN connection. If the VPN is removed then a proxy server on gives internet access to [A] but the internet explorer proxy settings on [A] are ignored when the VPN is connected.

My question: how can I grant [A] internet access over the VPN through ?

Hope this makes sense, I apologise for any information I have missed and thank you for your time in advance :)

Erm you need your VPN to happen on a different subnet to your normal LAN. And you need two IP addresses. When in VPN A will be asigned an address and gateway of the local network it's VPNing to. This needs to be configured in 2k server, but then it should use that ip to do all the work. It'd be easier to have PC A connected to the router rather than using a proxy, cos you could just remove the router as the defult gateway and it would use the VPN arrangement.
