Hi
I've been using Windows 7 PPTP services to connect to a synology DS412+ at home for ages, however recently it stopped working about the same time the super hub updated and also the software on the synology box updated.
I know the VM not so Super Hub has a bad reputation so ended up doing a complete reset to factory defaults. That helped a little, the VPN connection no longer fails completely, it gets to the User/Password check then waits for a while before timing out.
I've rebooted the Synology box, turned the service off/on and just uninstalled the VPN app completely then re-installed.
Still the same issue.
Any geniuses able to give me a pointer?
Oh, I also though it may be a beyond my control network issue blocking pptp so i've tried openvpn too but that just fails with a timeout, it doens't tell me whether it got as far as checking user/password.
Regards
Ryan
