Hi chaps,

I'm after a router that can act as as VPN server. Rather that just having passthrough, I'd rather the router itself to act as a VPN server so that I can connect to home easily rather than using RDP to do what I need to do.

I believe the Asus RTN66U has that enabled? Are there any other routers that would be worth looking at?

I guess the alternative would be to get openVPN on a raspberry pi which would be cheaper but my current router doesn't do vpn pass through (that I can see) - but either way I think a router upgrade over the current stock plusnet router I've got for my fibre connection.

If budget stretches - I use a Dreytek 2830 for my internet/firewall and VPN. It has many features which may be of use to you such as clients dialling in to the VPN.

I happen to have one of these at home and one at work so they are connected Lan-to-Lan.
