I use scheduled batch files and rsync to backup a few GB of data locally from box's on a Workgroup to a pair of NAS' but i've now got to the stage where tape off site tape backups are not ideal as i'm not always about to take them off site etc. My initial idea is a VPN over an adsl max connection to an off site box running RAID1 mapped to the office LAN and batch it with rsync to cut down on the copy time but i'm just wondering if i'm missing something that would work better ?
