Since upgrading my graphics card and processor a little while ago games have been crashing and im recieving the 'VPU Recover' Error message. It does seem to be when theres a lot going on on the screen. Sometimes it happens very occasionally and switches back to the game but other times games such as grid it happens very quickly after starting and sometimes even hard crashes the system. I have tried disabling VPU and have the most up to date drivers.
My system is now a Q6600, Gigabyte DS4 and an ATI 4850 1024mb card. From searching about one of the suggestions seems to be that an underpowered PSU can be the problem, when I upgraded the processor and card I did get a new PSU but im wondering if I didn't go big enough. I have an Antec neopower 550W. Does it seem like this could be the problem? If so how big should I sencibly go, I'm not too flush at the moment but don't want to get something that may still be underpowered.
Thanks for any help
