VPU Recover - Yay or Nay?

I had problems with it in HL2, turned it off and never had a problem again. Waste of time IMO.

i'd only turn it on if you are getting system crashes which point the finger at the graphics card.... else leave it off :)

In my experience it can recover a crash that would otherwise lock up the system from time to time, but the system is normally so unstable after its happened that it usually crashes/locks up shortly after anyway. I'd say switch it off myself - if your system is unstable enough for it to happen there's a deeper problem that VPU Recover isn't the solution for.

I have it on when i'm benching in 3dMark, due to the fact that more often than not the thing will crash, rather than having to reset the whole PC i can just let VPU recover do its thing, and i can just reset clocks and get going again without having to restart :)

I don't use it otherwise though.

So if you Using ATi Tool Beta to overclock your GFX, Do that automatically Disable VPU Recover ?
