Anyone been playing with this yet with the BBC VR app????

Decided to give Spain - Portugal a go with the PSVR and loved it

Basic setup if you havent is that the BBC have 3 VR camera's in the each stadium.
Centre line from a box height sat on a sofa open to the stadium - and then a dozen feet to either left or right behind each goal at pitch level. You also need to download the BBC Sport VR app - its a completely different app to the existing BBC sport one

When in the centre view the graphics are a bit hazy but pretty good. On top of that there is a large screen with the TV feed for closeup and that looks pretty good to follow whats going on

Highlight was sat behind the Spain goal when Ronaldo puts his free kick into the net. No replay but it put a smile on my face when it happened.

Theres also a little VR dude that comes and sits next to you on the sofa during the game.

As a first go - its pretty good but I can see as time goes on and more and more sports get onboard with improving graphics this could be the future

Anyone else tried it??

If only we didn't have to wait for the 26th and the Occ Go. Mileage tends to vary with TV/Film in the current gen hmd's, but as somebody with 200+hrs in film and tele in the Vive, safe to say id be all over it if I had the means.

I look forward to the day I can pick my seat at the City Ground to watch the Forest in VR.

They should have promoted it as a beta test using a lower profile tournament to obtain customer feedback. I think it's useful to prove a concept, ie that there is a sense of presence and shared experience
