Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of developing for VR?

Software that can be used etc?

A friend currently has a business showing off what VR can do and has asked me to join him but I know very little about it. Developing products and experiences is the number one thing he's looking at.

Unreal Engine and Unity can be used for VR if you are wanting experiences where you can walk around scenes. Doesn't have to be games (the original focus of these), popular to use these game engines for architectural visualisation, viewing car models and changing aspects of them real time such as the colour.

Is that along the right lines? These are free to develop in and try.

This is a rather general question!!!

Samsung and the like have just bought out 360 degree cameras, so this new hardware is likely to be a way to start creating virtual reality experiences. Mr Zuckerberg is enthusiastic and has been promoting 360 degree video on Facebook.
