Well i've got an HD projector and that's pretty nice, but in an effort to jack into the matrix I am seeking more immersive toys (for Arma2 ).
Considering how common place motion controllers are now it seems strange the limits of interactive hardware in the mainstream is stereoscopic glasses (I had these with my GeForce Ti3500 and they were crap then too lol) and head mounted LED displays.
Has anyone produced a reasonably priced 'VR' headset that's any good for gaming? Has anyone combined stereoscopic vision with head mounted displays? Anyone have any experience with actually owning something similar and have anything to add on its value to game immersion?
Slackers, considering this was 1991 , people seem to have got really hung up on photo realistic graphics and forgot all about other methods of making games seem 'real'.
Home PC's are nice an all but seems the tech is here for some amazing gaming experiences that the old giants simply aren't pushing as displays of their capabilities anymore (whatever happened to segaworld :/)
PS I would happily drop 50 notes on a 30m session of arma2 with stereoscopic, head tracking, head mounted display and R-360 simulator, somebody go build one of those XD
