Hey guys.

I need some help. I’m just finishing up a few days away with the kids and we’ve been playing a lot of Mario Kart VR in the arcades where we have been staying. Kids love it and
I’m sure my machine at home is capable of VR ( not the one in my sig). I’ve a 3700x and an Rtx 2080 with 16gb ddr4 ram.

The arcade was using an HTC headset, unfortunately I don’t know the model and it was using Steam also.

What would I need to buy to get set up?

TIA

Ah that’s a shame. Kids loved playing it. Thanks for the input.

is a 3700x and a Rtx 2080 ok for VR? I’m guessing it should be fine

It should be fine. Most VR games were designed for worse hardware than that. Of course Quest 2 doesn't require a PC - Dash Dash World can be played natively on the Quest 2 headset, but you can also use a PC for more demanding PC only VR games.

wait what, Mario Kart VR ?
that be awesome

must be the snes version remade to VR though ;)

I have no idea buddy but it was really fun to
Play. Both my kids loved it. We have Mario Kart on the switch and they play that loads but just the whole interaction driving the kart and using your hands to grab and use objects for them was brilliant. Bearing in mind they are 8 and 6 respectively and you can probably work out there excitement level. Dad dad can you sort is one out lol
