Hi

I am trying to organise a day of fun for my O/H's birthday next week. Given we can't leave home and live in a small house in London, the best way to escape our four walls seems to be through the medium of VR!

We are both iPhone users (8 Plus & 12 Mini) and I was wondering if something like Google Cardboard (or two of those cheap plastic headsets off Amazon you stick your phone in - would rather avoid buying more plastic stuff tho) paired with an App Store app might make for a fun hour of entertainment? I have seen a few apps that let you travel the world, explore different places, etc.

Does anyone have a recommendation on any apps/ experiences or cheap headsets that work well with the above phones?

Sorry, I have never tried any of those cheap headsets that you use on your phone. So I can't make any recommendations.

Maybe look at some of the reviews on the big rainforest place for headsets in the price range you are looking at?
 
The cheap headsets will give you a bit of a laugh but they are miles away from what you get from a dedicated headset. I'd avoid the plastic ones as you probably won't be using them much after the initial play.
