VR Question

My PC is in another room with the HDMI running 20m through my ceiling to my TV. I`m considering buying vive or rift and wondering if anything needs to connect to the PC directly, as I dont want to run long cables to it......... Am I good to go with the HDMI by my TV?

Bad news. Both use HDMI and USB, and the Vive also has a DC power in if I recall correctly.

A 20m run from your PC to your lounge is probably going to be too far, especially without active boosters. The max length for 1080P transmission is supposed to be 10m, you can push it further with traditional TV signals but with the higher HMD resolution and the need for absolute perfection, 20m is likely to be too far.

Try it, but don't expect it to work!
