Vr spec help needed - car simulators

I want to get into the vr world and I’m not sure of which hardware I should need. I want to use it mainly for car simulators as rfactor2 or project cars

Without getting crazy, which specs should I be looking for? I assume the most important item will be the gpu, isn’t it?

I built a new pc last year specs below. I only got into VR a few months ago and it runs great.
I also had VR running well on 5yrs old pc which has a i7 4770k cpu. I just put the 1070 graphics card in to try it.
It ran almost as fast as my new pc. So yes, I would say the most important is the graphics card probably 1060 min.
