vr900 slower then talktalk router??

so i have faster fibre with talktalk sagecom 5364-3, as most say always replace your router i decided to get one, i got a Vr900 V1 and proceeded to use, but you know what i am finding its slower over LAN its getting 61mbs at a push with, upload around 14mbs, latency around 10-13ms, yet my talktalk one im getting 63mbs, latency around 9 and upload around 17mbs.
any reason this can be, should i just flog off the vr900 and stick to isp router.

ps i dont use wifi so its disabled on both

any ideas?

My immediate reaction is that there is no real difference between the two sets of numbers you’re presenting. You’re trying to measure your ISP line speed from a computer and that’s not easy to do.

I would also say that if you’re not using WLAN you’re unlikely to see much benefit from a “better” router than the SagemCom because it’s all 1GbE ports, same as the TP-Link. So yes, sell the TP-Link (or just return it) and run with the SagemCom.
