I have the antec 620 on my r9-290X and i want to add the Alpehnfohn heatsinks to the vrams.I bought this Arctic Silver Adhesive. And im a bit hesitating using it.Is it possibly to remove the heatsinks later on,and how hard will it be?

Thanks in advance

Just so we're clear, you do mean VRAM and not VRMs?

If it's VRAM, just use the Akasa tape suggested above.
If it's the VRM's, adhesive will give the best results, but it will be a bit of a hassle to remove. Nothing a bit of patience and some lighter fluid won't solve though :)

Gotta test it tho.Got some old ddr2 rams gotta pop a few heatsink on them with diff amount and one mixed with mx2 paste and see which ones comes off.If aint gonna work i just gotta buy that akasa tape. Thanks for the inpu guys tho.

I did use a bit of thermal paste in the centre and the tiniest dab of superglue on two corners of the VRAM heatsinks with a 7950 a while back.
It worked very well and was very easy to remove.

The thing is, VRAM just doesn't get hot enough to require going to these lengths. Just use the Akasa tape IMO :)

Yeah i know, but i have the adhesive and only 1 shop supplies that tape here and would take like a week to get a piece which is uber funny :D

Rasch, would you mind setting up your trust account please? I have a favour to ask :)
