It's very annoying as my 4870's are only 512's and I don't know if they're struggling or not
Couldn't you tell by, I don't know, loading up a game and playing it?
And if it looks like it's struggling then... maybe it is? -

VRAM usage tests - anyone seen one?

Couldn't you tell by, I don't know, loading up a game and playing it?
And if it looks like it's struggling then... maybe it is? 
Suprised it doesnt work for ati cards if thats the case..
I’ve been researching VRAM usage and finding reliable AMD stats very hard to come by.
This review specifically shows VRAM usage in a range of games however, the 460 768MB card is not ideal for the test IMO, but you see games using up to 750MB VRAM easily enough (1920 x 1200):

I’m trying to decide if 1GB VRAM will be enough (at 1920 x 1200) for at least a year or so. Of course it will for most games, but I would rather a little more headroom.
