Hi everybody and welcome to the first of our weekly news round-ups here on the Overclocked forum.

If you didn't see my message here a few weeks back I'm Kevin E from UK-based immersive tech specialist website VRFocus.com and I'll be popping up each week (hopefully) here with a bit of a rundown of stories relating to VR that have occurred through the week, as well as posting the odd bit of breaking news that might be relevant to your interests. And as you can see by my shiny 'Vendor' status, this is all OCUK approved.

Mouseover for links.

INDUSTRY:

- UK's VR job market continues to grow, with 10,000 vacancies posted in the last 24 month.
- Speaking of VR jobs, one of our other regular weekend features is 'The VR Job Hub' where we post up a whole bunch of roles involved in VR, AR, MR, or anything else similar which ends in 'R'. If you're interested in getting involved in the industry click here to see last Sunday's selection.

INTERVIEWS:

- We spoke to Martin Holecko from VRgineers about the VRHero 5K, Leap Motion and more.
- Puget Systems spoke to us about how the company delivers custom built machines for VR.
- We spoke to creative software developers Notch (no, not that one) and talked to their Matt Swoboda and Mark Jennings about it. We're also giving away 50 codes for their Learning Edition (worth £99) in a competition that starts later today.

OTHER FEATURES:

- VR vs. Cheese. - 'VR vs.' is another weekly VRFocus feature which can easily be described as 'management insisted the guy who isn't a writer write a weekly column'. So it's a very different tone to the rest of the site and much more off-the-wall. Did I mention I write this? This week's one looked at Google I/O which didn't do much to inspire, unlike Facebook's F8 the week before that.

That's all for now, it's been a bit quiet for this week to be honest. The calm before the E3 storm no doubt. Since this is the first one, I would love some feedback. At the moment I've only really put PC related news in this (for obvious reasons), but would you like PSVR covered too? Would you like Augmented or Mixed Reality also added? Please do let me know.

Have a good weekend!
