Recently updated my dg834g firmware to the latest version as I was having problems with the intenet dropping every 20mins or so. Net is fine now apart from utorrent, iam getting awful speeds now, dunno why as a few weeks ago I was getting good speeds from it.

Any ideas or changes I can make?

Port seems to be forwarded correctly as ive got the green light at the bottom.

set upload limit to 10 min
tweak connection settings in utorrent
forward the port or use upnp
use a tcpip patch
use a decent isp

if you do all the above, you should max your connection with every torrent, providing there's seeds

Could you explain how I can setup those other settings that you have explained?

I'm fairly sure that if you limit your upload to anything below 6KB/sec, it limits your download speed.

this is true, i used to limit my upload to 1 and it was fine, but recently( i think after nad update) setting it to 1 limits download to about 100kbps max, normally getting 1.7meg with upload not limited

can you give us a screenshot of your utorrent connection settings?

i have no idea what talktalk's policy is like, so can't comment on that

first, i'd consider hiding the filenames :0

update to the newest 1.8.1 utorrent, and possibly use a private tracker instead, they're always tons faster

with that many seeds/peers you'll be getting tons of 4226 errors in event viewer (exceeding concurrent connections limit, which is harder to overcome in Vista than xp)

if you use a private site, you'll get a smaller number of seeds, with WAY higher upload rates

try stopping all your current ones, and download a linux iso.. see what you get from that, chuck your messenger on mate
