VSphere Essentials Upgrade Cost?

Anyone running a VSphere homelab? I bought the VSphere Essentials Kit a couple of years back and have been sitting on 5.5 for a while but thinking about upgrading to 6.5? Looking at the VMWare store, I can't seem to find an upgrade price from 5.5 to 6.5. Just seems to be a new license purchase and a 1 year's S&S which is about £500. I'll stick on 5.5 for the forseeable future if that's the case. Anyone got experience of this?

You can upgrade your license as long as your support is still valid.
If you've let it lapse, then you'll either have to pay a reinstatement fee, or buy it again from scratch.

Definitely have let the support lapse. It's a learning homelab so had no intention of actually asking for support so I think I'll save the £500 and stick with 5.5.
