VSR, not what i want, what am i missing?

DSR in CCC, turn it on and with that you can select whatever 'Unsupported Display resolution' in the game menu, or even the Desktop from the windows Display settings. as simple as that, job done. with it turned on its no different to having a display supporting those resolutions.

I have been looking for this the the Nvidia Control Panel and GeForce Experience, as far as i can tell its not there.

All i have found is this, not what i'm looking for...

what am i doing wrong?

There are 2 entries for DSR under Manage 3D Settings:

DSR Factors allows you to select different scaling factors - each one you tick will add a new custom resolution.

DSR Smoothness lets you optimise the algorithm to taste though default is usually best.

Once you've selected DSR factors they appear in the change resolution screen as custom resolutions above native and likewise you select those resolutions ingame to enable DSR.

with it turned on its no different to having a display supporting those resolutions.

It is different...it doesn't suddenly make a 1080p monitor as good as a 4k one
