Hello, just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on this VSR. I've been trying it out in a few games but im a little confused about how its decided which resolutions will be available for my to downscale.

In shadow of mordor it will let me downscale 5k and 4k to my 1440p native res, but in GTA and wow i can only downscale 3200 res. Is it the programs restricting what i can choose or the AMD drivers, and is there any optimal resolutions i should be choosing going down to 1440p.

As far as im aware shadow of mordor is using it own scaler at 5k and 4k, GTA does not have its own scaler so its limited to the hardware scaler of the AMD card.

ah well that explains the different options there then, so i guess im using 4k there and 3200 res everywhere else then.

Hi, From what I understand, Hawaii 290 and 290x can only downsample from 3200. you need a 285 with tonga core to downsample from 4k.
