Vsync on = mouse lag?

I've just switched from a CRT @ 85Hz with VSync off to an LCD @ 60Hz with Vsync on.

When Vsync is on, for example in Doom3, I get mouse input lag.

Any ideas?

Try enabling/disabling tripple buffering. But at the end of the day vsync generally results in input lag and theres nothing you can really do about it if you notice it except disable vsync.

Ah well, I'll just live with the tearing. Just seems extra bad in Doom3.

It's fine in HL2.

Doom 3 always seems bad for it - probably because of the ~60fps cap/sync.

Is it a wireless mouse ? and remember some monitors can have bad input lag

i found it annoying in hl2 aswell...so i just set my fps cap to 120(no vsync).
dont get too much tearing at that setting

No.

No input lag when Vsync disabled.

I'll just stick using no Vsync as it's not at all bad in other games, just Doom3 (which I don't really play).
