Hi,

I recently started playing Dead Rising 3 on High settings on 1080p. If I disable Vsync it runs perfectly with no lag but I have the a tearing motion on my screen. If I enable it the tear goes away but it feels a bit slower or more laggy.

Is this down to my hardware (can be seen in my signature) or is there other settings I can play about with to get the best of both worlds?

Thanks

Thanks... I had a look around the AMD Catalyst program and someone told me you should enable "Triple Buffering".

I think it has made a slight impact but I am going to look at better monitors too.

Is that why it lags because I am getting a higher framerate and refresh rate that my 60Hz monitor can't handle? Its weird because in DR3 settings I picked 1920x1080 60HZ

triple-buffering in CCC only works with OGL games. ^^^^

This is completely normal, i play competitive FPS games like BF4 with V-sync off for exactly this reason.

You could try D3DOverrider to force triple-buffering.

I can live with the tearing with vsync off, but i currently use adaptive where there is a bit of input lag. This is solely because of temp issues on my top card with vsync off. I need a gsync monitor badly.
