Guys i have a quick question

I have a 670 pw oc edition card and a 4.7ghz i5

when playing the latest games sould i use vsync to lock fps at 60 or not as i know my rig can out ut at like 200 fps on most games

What is the best thing to use should i use vsync or not ?

You can notice a difference between the 60 and 120, feels a lot smoother. Though it's not something that is really needed for most gamers. Even with a 120hz monitor though I still have v-sync on in many of my games, as I find some very small tearing can still occur. I have a 670 too; windforce x3.

Right yeah, think your on your own with that one.

Jesus man could he have made that any more obvious...?!

Why not use a limiter so you can set it to whatever you like? I have the same problem with Dead Space 3, FPS around 200 most the time whereas FPS of 70 works great = unstressed system.

yea in dead space 3 i am getting around the 300 mark fps wise but i dont seee much tearing on the screen so i might leav that game with vsync off, but i take it that if u see tearing to use vsync just wounderd if running more fps was better then useing vsync

I cap mine at 60fps with MSi then I force vsync and triple buffer with D3DOverrider on most games. Mega smooth with no tearing, some games you get mouse lag etc with in-game vsync hence why I use D3D as you get no mouse lag whatsoever.
