VTX3D 7950 vs 7970

Hey guys,

After sending back my 7850 due to it not working (fingers crossed as it was only in 2 days of having it I'll get a full refund) I'm thinking of going for the 7950 or the 7970.

The only problem I have is... Is the 7970 REALLY worth the extra £100 on top of the 7950?

I'm leaning more towards the 50 right now because I can't see any real improvement from fronting an extra £100 for the 70.

Any ideas on this?

I don't think its worth it as long as you over clock. The 7970 is only 5% faster clock for clock than the 7950, so get that 7950 to 1200mhz+ like me and you are quids in.

VTX3D 7950 @ 239.99 now as well...

I have a VTX3D 7970, got it for £299, worth every penny to me, and I guess that is all that counts.

The 7950 really does perform especially if you are fortunate to get a good overclocker.

240 quid is nice.

The 7950 for £240 is a bargain and tbh @1080p I doubt you would notice a difference between the 7950/70...
