Just about to buy the above product

After all ur guys great help and advice I have decided over this card.

Before I order tonight does anybody think im making a bad mistake for £299.

Owners - what do u think of it ??

What a coincidence I was just going to post a thread on the same card as I'm looking to buy 2nd hand off a mate. It gets good reviews and comes with a nice little overclock to start with and the cooler seems up to the job.

Doesnt really need another thread but NVM. You wont get any better bang for buck than this card, just remember you can send it back within 14 days and get full refund if it is not to your liking for whatever reason. Surely worth trying at this price

hi, i just got this card im happy with it. it does get a little hot when you up the voltage a bit, but i use custom fan settings to sort that out.
i have my gpu core at 1200MHz and memory 6000MHz but to get that gpu core i had to over-volt to 1.162.

Check the vrm cooling. The reference vrm cooling does a great job keeping my vrm temps at 75c even when heavily overclocked.

Some of these cheap coolers skimp on the vrm cooling and run 25c+ hotter. (albeit still witin safe range with the vrm's rated at 125c)

Just something worth considering, maybe. :p

I have one and it runs 1200/1600 stock volts with decent temps.

Great cards for the money.

My card won't go above stock clocks even with added volts. Plus I've had it folding for 24 hours and it crashed my system on stock. Might be an insufficiant 500w psu the last issue though. Still a good card at 1050Mhz clocks though, very quiet.

I have this gfx card and I am little concerned with the fan cooler sounds. I am about to invest in a new cooler just so i can get rid of the jet engine going off even on low power games like sc2. In terms of overclocking its even better than i thought.

Mine is quite even when overclocked. Only sleeping dogs seems to ramp up the fan but it's still not loud. ?

The best overclocking card I have ever owned was a VTX. It was a lowly 7850 that could bench at 1400MHz. What does it prove;- nothing because all GPU's are a lottery. VTX are just as good or bad as anyone else.

Depends somewhat on the cooler on the card as well. But judging on just the PCB alone you are right. You could spend £400 on the best 7970 and it might not overclock as well the cheapest £300 version.
