VTX3D 7970 x'ed overclocking in process

Just noticed in that 7970 toxic review they were using the 12.7 betas. Been some pretty big gains since then.

Many thanks for posting this, was looking for some recent benchmarks with a 7970 clocked at my speeds. (1200/1600)

However in the review it states 1100 / 1200 MHz for the core, first page and 1500 / 1600 MHz for the memory. Which one is it running at not including when they used the extra OC bios?

EDIT

doesnt say which drivers they were using :(

They show the scores at both bios settings. The green bars are at 1100/1600 and the purple bars are at 1200/1600. Pretty useful IMO

@ 1080p I notice no in game difference between the VTX x-edition clocks and overclocked to 1200/1600...

I definitely notice a difference in battlefield 3 and sleeping dogs, and even dirt showdown to some extent. Those are the only three games im playing at the moment.

Yes 1.175v

Hmm then no wonder mine won't oc any further above stock volts since I'm at this.

Why are the same cards at different stock volts anyone know? Is it something to do with ASIC?

The only reason to clock that high is epeen. No game requires that much clock, and producing that much heat is not good for the lifespan of the card imo.

Maybe so, but that clock if true is insane.

I can only dream of running bf3 at 1300 core.
