VTX3D 7970 x'ed overclocking in process

Lol, are you happy with the noise of the card at that voltage?

You could probably get a bot more out of the core at that voltage but you will now get diminishing returns. Try 1225 core for the hell of it

Just tried with sleeping dogs max extreme settings

1262V
Core clock - 1200
Memory clock 1600
Max temp 72

No artifacts

53Fps 41 at stock

So is that it

There's no need (at 1080p) to go over 1150mhz/1650mhz as all games will run at least 60fps on the max settings. Anymore clock speed/voltage is just creating unnecessary heat.

My final score is 2212

Apologies to everybody but...

Come at me bro. :D

P.S > Sorry, won't happen again. :p

In most games I meant. Even BF3. Take a look at how a 7970 at 1200MHz performs. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Sapphire/HD_7970_Toxic_6_GB/8.html

Many thanks for posting this, was looking for some recent benchmarks with a 7970 clocked at my speeds. (1200/1600)

However in the review it states 1100 / 1200 MHz for the core, first page and 1500 / 1600 MHz for the memory. Which one is it running at not including when they used the extra OC bios?

EDIT

doesnt say which drivers they were using :(
