Bought some of this and a Gigabyte F2A88xm-d3h as a budget rig, the ram will not run in xmp mode at the 2400 speed at all, and looks like it is going at 1333 in default mode, is this normal?

The 1333 figure comes from the gigabyte overclocking app ET6 and is listed in the bios, however opposite the 1333 figure in the bios there is a blue 2400 figure.

If possible I'd like as much memory speed as possible for the AMD APU. Is it just a case of tweaking multiplier and frequency bit by bit and seeing where it gets to? I had the impression that the high speeds were there, its on the packaging.

It says:
Dram freq 665.2
FSB:Dram 3:20
Timings 9 9 10 24 33

NB varies 1497 seems pretty common as I've been doing this.

All 8 GB is showing.

Setup is as default. As I type I'm not sure if the image will appear - it didn't.

Bios gone from F1 to F4, northbridge now set at 1796.4 and memory as before, everything in default mode.

The speed tab has for memory Max Bandwidth as PC 10700 667Mhz
Lists 3 JEDEC settings: 533, 609 and 685 and the XMP 1.65V 1200Mhz setting

With Bios F1 windows wouldn't load with XMP running.
Just to be clear

Are there users here running this £50 ram, at high speed?
Is this below spec given the packaging and ad?

So the XMP profile with the new BIOS still doesn't work?

You know you have to enable it in the BIOS and save and exit right?

First I tried a simple oc to 1600 and no joy, then did xmp to 2400 and it worked and passed the windows memory test. 10% more volts seems a lot is this going to be a problem in the long term.

Thanks for helping.

That voltage is fine:)

Been using 1.65V RAM for years now on various setups, most high speed RAM is 1.65V to operate correctly.
