VW 2000 Bettle 2.0 8V Error codes P0134&P0135 HELP!!

hey

i have a beetle 2000 2.0 8v that is getting the following errors. i have replaced the o2 sensor before cat with one of a scrap car put still getting get same error can anyone help ? Its just gone for it MOT and failed on the below

P0134 - 02 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank I Sensor 1

P0135 Heated oxygen sensor - bank 1 sensor 1 (H02S11) sensor heater circuit

I have tried and checked fuses changed the Lamba for a 2nd hand one of a scrap car to try as there £70 for euro car parts but there not returnable if opened and a waste of £70 if it don't solve it. Just wondered if anyone on here has had this problem

I guess you cleared the error codes after fitting new sensor ?

Otherwise could be a wiring issue between lambda connector and Ecu

well this is the thing i have checked the cables stripped them back etc and there all fine. Taken the 02 sensor out and when i turn the IGN on it gets warm on both sensors sooo bit lost really

Have you measured voltage or checked the live logs of the sensor? You should be able to see if its actually doing anything from that.

If no reading from either sensor ( new or old that is) I would start going through wiring as above
