My Dad's Passat's boot is faulty. It won't close.
He sent it the local VW dealership who "fixed" on Friday. The fault came back a couple of days ago.
My Dad took it back yesterday asking for them to do it properly, and they want to charge him again. I personally think that if they didn't do it right first time, when he payed £125, they should do it for free now.
They want to charge him another £100 parts and labour to fix it now, which I think is absurd.
Although the initial invoice states at the bottom:
"Advise if fault re-occurs, may require boot locking solenoid as found to be seized when replacing lock, lubricated & seems ok."
I think his options are:
1) Pay the dealership
2) Complain that the job wasn't done properly first time
3) Go to the local garage to get it fixed.
What do you think he should do?
