Just wanted to start a thread about Golf owners to see what you guys own and what changes/mods you've made to your car. Love to see some pictures and details of changes you've made.

Feel free to post :D

I have an '07 MK5 Golf edition 30, which as soon as I got it I had remapped to the better part of 300BHP.

It's been that way for a few years now with no issues, but the brakes were always a weak point. So I've just got a set of use S3 brakes, with 345mm drilled and slotted disks, and I must say it suits the car very well.

I also put an Evoms CAI, but after only a few months I had it removed as it was just too loud. I love it when giving it the beans, but at most other times it was just too noisey - plus I didn't notice any difference with it on performance wise.

I've got no plans on any more upgrades to the car as it's fine as it is, although I would put an uprated exhaust on it if ever the standard one started to fail.

I've had loads...

Mk1 1.3 Driver (my first car)
Mk2 1.6 GL
Mk2 GTI 16v (loved that one)
Mk3 VR6 Highline (also loved it)
Mk4 V6 4Motion (the car I've owned the longest)
Mk6 GTI <-- One of my current cars. A really good car but the build quality is poor compared to the mk4

Just sold my Mk5 Gti 3 weeks ago, owned for 4 1/2 years with 0 faults other than general wear and tare items.

Bought with Revo map (253 / 290)
R32 discs, calipers up front which massively improves the brakes.
Miltek catback system, sounds great when putting your foot down but completely quiet for normal plodding around.

Pics from sale, best ones i had really

I've had a fair few golfs over the years:

Mk2 Gti 16v 1990
Mk2 Gti 8v 1990
Mk2 Gti small bumper 1989 if I remember rightly
Mk2 G60 Edition 1 (Favourite)
Mk3 Gti (least favourite)
Mk5 edition 30 (liked this one a lot too)
Mk5 Gti pirelli edition (pretty much an edition 30 with worse wheels)

I'm currently rolling in a 2015 Skoda Octavia VRS but I would love to get a tidy Mk1 Gti maybe a campaign model for the odd blast on the weekend

I have a Golf Mark 4, 1.4 3dr metalic dark green, 130k

Just made a 12" enclosed subwoofer for the boot and installed new front speakers and tweeters, with a Pioneer head unit. Plays MP3 via USB. There is two amps in the boot, fitted it myself, easy to get power lead from battery to boot via firewall and pulling off trim.

Great car, the bodywork is amazing for 2002 motor.

It has winter wheels on it, ebay alloys, amazing grip in the snow!
